A Statewide Initiative for the Future of Texas Business Aviation

Vision 2027 is a multi-year strategic initiative led by the South Texas Business Aviation Association to plan and deliver the first truly statewide Business Aviation conference in Texas, culminating in a major event in Austin in mid-2027.

Texas is one of the most important business aviation states in the nation. Vision 2027 is designed to bring the entire Texas business aviation community together under one coordinated effort to strengthen collaboration, advance safety and innovation, support workforce and veterans initiatives, and elevate the voice of business aviation with state and federal stakeholders.

Why Vision 2027 Matters

Business aviation in Texas is growing rapidly across every region of the state. Operators, airports, manufacturers, service providers, educators, and government agencies all face shared challenges and opportunities, including:

• Workforce development and talent pipelines

• Safety and operational excellence

• Airport infrastructure and access

• Advanced Air Mobility and emerging technologies

• Sustainability and future fuels

• Government policy and regulatory engagement

Vision 2027 creates a unified platform to address these priorities together, at a statewide scale.

What Vision 2027 Will Deliver

At the center of Vision 2027 is the development of a multi-day Statewide Business Aviation Conference that will include:

• Industry-driven programming and technical sessions

• Safety education and best practices

• Workforce development and veterans transition pathways

• Exhibits and static aircraft displays

• Advanced Air Mobility and innovation discussions

• Direct engagement with state and federal policymakers

• Networking opportunities across all regions of Texas

The conference name and branding will be selected by the Vision 2027 Committee as part of the planning process.

Leadership and Structure

Vision 2027 is guided by a dedicated Vision 2027 Committee appointed by STXBAA, supported by focused subcommittees responsible for program development, safety, sponsorship, marketing, government affairs, workforce development, veterans outreach, exhibits, and special events.

The initiative is being developed in coordination with key industry partners, including the National Business Aviation Association, and with engagement from state agencies and policymakers.
